Loving & obeying God
"Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things..." 2 Timothy 4:2-5
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
"Finally, my brethren,
be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of
God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. "For we do
not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand.
"Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet
with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of
faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the
saints." Ephesians 6:10-18
"... in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of
themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without
self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers
of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying
its power. And from such people turn away!" 2 Timothy 3:1-14
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a
roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith,
knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the
world." 1 Peter 5:8-9
"[Jesus] said to Peter, 'Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you
are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.' Then Jesus said to
His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and
take up his cross, and follow Me." Matthew 16:23-24
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace
but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter
against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a
man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother
more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me
is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is
not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life
for My sake will find it." Matthew 10:34-39
"For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,
that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction,
whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame— who set their mind
on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly
wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body
that it may be conformed to His glorious body...." Philippians 3:18-21
"Peter and the other apostles answered and said: 'We ought to obey God rather
than men." Acts 5:29?
Peter wrote: "...there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly
bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring
on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways,
because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will
exploit you with deceptive words...." 2 Peter 2:1-3 (see also 9-10)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil." Proverbs
3:5-7
"You love evil more than good...." Psalm 52:3

Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be
conformed to His glorious body." Philippians 3:20
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know
it?" Jeremiah 17:5-10
"Were they ashamed...? No! They were not at all ashamed; nor did they know how
to blush." Jer. 6:14-15
"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath
of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with
them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as
children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness,
righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have
no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For
it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever
makes manifest is light." Ephesians 5:6-13
“An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land:
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power;
And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?" Jeremiah
5:30-31
"Jesus answered him, 'The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the
Lord our God, the Lord is one. ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love
your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:29-31
"You love evil more than good...." Psalm 52:3
"Woe to those who call
evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness....
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!"
Isaiah 5:20-21
“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because
lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to
the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all
the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew
24:11-14
"Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you." 1 John 3:10
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of
the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but
is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who
does the will of God abides forever." 1 John 2:15-17
"Do not be conformed to this world.... Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is
good." Romans 12:2, 9
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of
the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but
is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who
does the will of God abides forever." 1 John 2:15-17
"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be
false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even
denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And
many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will
be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a
long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not
slumber." 2 Peter 2:1-3
"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be
kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving
preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving
the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in
prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality." Romans
12:9 -13
“Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name
of Jesus Christ for the 'remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of
the Holy Spirit. 'For the promise is to you and 'to your children, and 'to
all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the
work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1
Corinthians 15:56
"[Jesus] saw the city and wept over it, saying, 'If you had known, even you,
especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they
are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will
build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and
level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave
in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your
visitation.'" Luke 19:41-44
"You love evil more than good...." Psalm 52:3
"Therefore the law is
powerless, and justice never goes forth.
For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds."
Hab 1:4

Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!
How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood
under her wings, but you were not willing!" Luke 13:34

spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus

Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power,
Both now and forever. " Amen. Jude 24-25
"...thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us
diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the
fragrance of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are perishing.
To the one we are the aroma of death [a stumbling block] leading to death, and
to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these
things? "For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of
sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ." 2
Corinthians 2:14-17
"Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation
has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will
not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation
will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1
Corinthians 10:6-13
"...the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according
to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for
themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be
turned aside to fables." 2 Timothy 4:2-4
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the
weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down
strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the
obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your
obedience is fulfilled." 2 Corinthians 10:2-6
"Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no
great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of
righteousness..." 2 Corinthians 11:14-15

"... in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of
themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without
self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers
of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying
its power. And from such people turn away!" 2 Timothy 3:1-14
"You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?" Luke 12:56-57
"...the light has come
into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the
light, lest his deeds should be exposed." John 3:19-20
"...the whole world is under the sway of the evil one." 1 John 5:19
"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the
falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God." 2 Thessalonians
2:3-4
"...be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill your ministry. But the end of all things is at hand." 2 Timothy 4:5
"...we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor
handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if
our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the
god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of
the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do
not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants
for Jesus’ sake.
"For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of
darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the
glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:2-6
"...let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our
hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who
promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love
and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the
manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see he
Day approaching." Hebrews 10:22-25
