Preaching
mentioned 807 times in New Testament
"In the great day, when the muster-roll shall be read, of all those who are converted through fine music, and church decoration, and religious exhibitions and entertainments, they will amount to the tenth part of nothing.
"But it will always please God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Keep to your preaching; and if you do anything beside, do not let it throw your preaching into the background. In the first place, preach, and the second place, preach, and the third place, preach.
"Believe in preaching the love of Christ, believe in preaching the atoning sacrifice, believe in preaching the new birth, believe in preaching the whole counsel of God. The old hammer of the gospel will still break the rock in pieces; the ancient fire of Pentecost will still burn among the multitude. Try nothing new, but go on with preaching, and if we all preach with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven, the results of preaching will astound us."
-- Charles Spurgeon, "How to Win Souls for Christ."
Jesus shows us His way:
"From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” Mt 4:16
"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. " Mt 4:23
"Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities." Mt 11:1
"Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mk 1:14-15"Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. " Mk 2:2
Jesus "found the place where it was written: 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:17-19“[Jesus] said to them, ''I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.' And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.'" Luke 4:43-44
"...it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him..." Luke 8:1
"Now it happened on one of those days, as He [Jesus] taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, that the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, confronted Him and spoke to Him, saying, Tell us, by what authority are You doing these things? Or who is he who gave You this authority?'
'"But He answered and said to them, 'I also will ask you one thing, and answer Me: 'The baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men?' And they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet. So they answered that they did not know where it was from.
"And Jesus said to them, '“Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.'” Luke 20:1-8
Jesus instructed His disciples...
"Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach..." Mk 3:14
"And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’" Mt 10:7
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Mt 10:27-28"But He said to them, 'Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.' And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons." Mk 1:38-39

"...they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere." Luke 9:5
"Then He said to them, 'Thus it is written, 'and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 'and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name 'to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 'And you are witnesses of these things." Luke 24:46-48
...and prepared them to face persecution for their preaching:
"You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved." Mk 13:9-13
"Jesus answered and said to them, 'Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 'The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Mt 11:4-6
"...they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Mt 24:9-14
"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here....
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” Mt 12:39-45
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Mk 16:15-16

'And blessed is he who is not 'offended because of Me.'” Luke 7:22-23
