Berlin to Build the very first Temple of Chrislam for One World Religion: "We have given you countless verified accounts of the efforts of early Chrislam founder and champion Rick Warren to prepare the Christians to accept this new religious paradigm.

"Today’s bombshell is the natural next-step in the evolution of the One World Religion – a temple to call their very own. And where better to build that abomination than in the city that is most famous for introducing the world to Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust but in Berlin, Germany. ...

“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” Revelation 17:5-6." Humanists put faith to test by giving schools free copies of atheist ‘bible’: "A free copy of a secularist text called The Young Atheist’s Handbook is being sent to every secondary school in England and Wales, in a drive to help teenagers live well without recourse to religion. ... Andrew Copson, chief executive of the BHA (British Humanist Association), said of the initiative: 'We couldn’t be happier that young people everywhere will now have access to this wonderful book." The Wealthy Vatican--Now a Socialist Adviser? Vatican urges economic reforms, condemns collective greed: "The Vatican called on Monday for sweeping reforms of the world economy and the creation of a ethical, global authority to regulate financial markets.... An 18-page document from the Vatican's Justice and Peace department said the financial downturn had revealed behaviours like 'selfishness, collective greed and hoarding...adding that world economics needed an 'ethic of solidarity" among rich and poor nations.

"...the Vatican called on those who wanted to change economic structures to 'not be afraid to propose new ideas, even if they might destabilise pre-existing balances of power that prevail over the weakest.'... The Vatican called for the establishment of 'a supranational authority' with worldwide scope and 'universal jurisdiction' to guide economic policies and decisions. Such an authority should start with the United Nations..." See The U.N. Plan For Global Control

I PROMISE to be Politically Correct -- The Great Commission and Religious Pluralism: "...according to our multi-faith culture, the notion of 'sin' now includes those actions that cause division and dissension in a politically correct environment. Proclaiming the exclusive message of Jesus Christ, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me,' is an example of 'sin' within the context of our 'new world civilization.' ... Essentially, what is being said is this: Christian missions must act according to politically correct standards in a multi-faith context." Will the Evangelical Church Sell Out the Gospel for a Dominionist Political Agenda? "...a present ecumenical, dominionist movement (that is heading toward a one-world religion to 'establish the kingdom of God on earth') is operating and deceiving many Christians. ...many Christians may be on the brink of buying into a plan that will ultimately create a global religion and global government." The Religious Right Uniting with Religious Renegades (Part 1): "Some Religious Right leaders have joined forces with movers and shakers, literally speaking, of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). They have been warned about this 'New Breed' of Christian and their global kingdom agenda and have chosen to disregard the warnings....

"False teachers have made their mark on the Church by marketing a user-friendly 'relevant' Christianity that is a whole lot more palatable to the unchurched 'seeker' than the Christianity of the Reformers. Admittedly, even to the discerning believer truth laced with false teaching is as tough to detect as a few drops of arsenic in a tall glass of water." Declaration on the Relation of the [Catholic] Church to non-Christian relgions: "From ancient times down to the present, there is found among various peoples a certain perception of that hidden power which hovers over the course of things...at times some indeed have come to the recognition of a Supreme Being, or even of a Father....

"[In] Hinduism, men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through an inexhaustible abundance of myths.... Buddhism...teaches a way by which men, in a devout and confident spirit, may...attain, by their own efforts or through higher help, supreme illumination.... The Catholic Church rejects nothing that is true and holy in these religions.... The Church, therefore, exhorts her sons, that through dialogue and collaboration with the followers of other religions... they recognize, preserve and promote the good things....

"The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems.... [This] sacred synod urges all to...work sincerely for mutual understanding... social justice..."

Pastors to host readings from the Qur’an at churches across the country to display respect and combat anti-Muslim bigotry: "Christian clergy at churches across the country will host readings from the Qur’an and other sacred religious texts as they welcome their Muslim and Jewish colleagues on Sunday, June 26, 2011 for Faith Shared: Uniting in Prayer and Understanding. Faith Shared is a project of Interfaith Alliance and Human Rights First, which seeks to send a message both here at home and to the Arab and Muslim world about our respect for Islam....[Interfaith Alliance President Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy said] “Appreciation for pluralism and respect for religious freedom and other human rights are at the core of our democracy." UNESCO's Declaration on Tolerance

Chrislam spreads throughout America: "This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. ...the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad. Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles.

"The concept of Chrislam, now embraced by such preachers as Rick Warren and Robert Schuller, appears to have emerged from a program on the meaning of 'love your neighbor'.... The Chrislam movement has gained impetus by statements from President George W. Bush and that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren’s reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama." See UNESCO's Declaration on the Role of Religion

Jesus has left the building: "What does it mean for a church 'to submit joyfully to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all aspects of life'? Those are words actually used by the Presbyterian Church USA last week in deciding to allow openly practicing, unrepenting homosexuals, lesbians, and adulterers to be ordained as deacons, elders, and ministers of the Gospel. ....Might we suggest that the PCUSA does not truly 'desire to submit joyfully to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all aspects of life'? How they couple such words with such a decision is staggering." See Depravity

The Launch of Face to Faith, [Tony Blair's] New Global Education Programme: "Collaboration and communication skills, information and media literacy are...vital tools for the 21st century. Yet in a world in which 4 billion people - two thirds of the population - are of faith, can we be sure that young people are equipped to participate as global citizens if they do not understand much about the world’s major religions? How can we ensure that a lack of knowledge does not lead to prejudice, antagonism and tension?

"...new technologies are stimulating radically new approaches to teaching and learning. Why not apply these technologies in such a way as to encourage students of different faiths to learn directly with, from and about each other to support encounter, exploration and exchange...?" See Training students to reject truth and conform to a pre-planned group consensus

Mission Statement: "The Tony Blair Faith Foundation aims to promote respect and understanding about the world's major religions.... But religious faith can also be used to divide.... We will use the full power of modern communications to support and step up efforts at every level to educate, inform and develop understanding about the different faiths and between them."

Video: O’Reilly slugs it out with a pastor who says that Hell does not exist: Jack McKinney, PhD. "The Church doesn't just teach that mass murderers go to hell; they teach that people like Ghandi go to hell, and that puts God in a very difficult place.... We're turning God into a monster by teaching that..."

Not true! God reigns; we do not. Man has chosen to rebell against Him, and therefore they don't deserve heaven. Jesus died to open the door for all who would trust Him as their Redeemer and Lord. We have a choice -- God's loving invitation -- or our self-centered ways to destruction.

Unveiling the Global Interfaith Agenda: "Religious pluralism isn’t a new concept, but it has made tremendous inroads during the past ten years. This development hasn’t been confined to churches only, but now tracks through international politics, economics, and major social structures [including new rules for collective healthy living] ...'

"'The relentless effort of the Council for the Parliament of World Religions... calls us to fulfill the highest purposes of religion. We come from the four directions, like streams merging into a great river.…With each encounter, let us meet the Divinity in one another.”

"None of this should come as a surprise to the discerning Christian and observer of religious world affairs. Rather, expect more of this type of activity as man seeks to re-create Eden into a New Age paradise where humanity sits enthroned – alongside the gods of nature." See Heresy in high places

Silicon Valley interreligious group launched to promote harmony and compassion [may be slow to open]: "Promising to reach beyond their own religious traditions, the South Bay faithful gave birth Sunday to a transreligious group they hope will bridge differences and create a community forged by care and respect. ...two years ago, SiVIC’s predecessor became a partner in the Parliament of World Religions."

Churches Open Doors to Muslim Worship: "They see it as their Christian duty. ...Two Protestant churches are taking some heat from critics for opening their church buildings to Muslims needing places to worship because their own facilities were either too small, or under construction....Elsanousi [National Community Outreach Director of the Islamic Society]...says 'allowing people the freedom of worship is respectful and strengthens the relationship.'...

"'What if we went to Muslims and said 'Hey, can we use your mosque for the worship of Jesus.... I doubt there would be a lot of reciprocity’." See Tony Blair's Interfaith Foundation

The Rising World Religion: "When Christianity is lifted from its Biblical foundation and planted into a pagan setting, the issues of right and wrong fade away. Sin and guilt become meaningless and the cross becomes irrelevant. Human dreams and feelings, not God's word and will, become the guiding light. And the old truths, facts and logic drown in a sea of new values and feel-good beliefs. The consequences are devastating. As God warns us, "...you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.” Judges 10:12-13

Quran in the pews; Jesus in the Quran (Not our Jesus!) : This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam....Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles. [Germany] Minister slams 'macho' Muslim culture: "..there is a macho culture among young Muslim men that glorifies violence and which also has cultural roots....'The tendency towards violence among young, male Muslims is clearly higher than among non-Muslim, native youths.' It stemmed from perceived slights upon their honour, which they defended with violence, Schröder said.... Her comments came amid an ongoing debate about immigration, integration and Islam in Germany....

"Chancellor Angela Merkel later declared that multiculturalism had 'failed utterly,' while Bavarian Premier Horst Seehofer went so far as to suggest immigration from Muslim countries should be stopped. Schröder indicated that discussion of the issue had been hampered by political correctness.”

November 2010

Christians, Muslims Gather to Build a Common Future: "Christian and Muslim leaders are gathered in Geneva for a high-level interfaith dialogue on how to build strong and sustainable relationships between the two groups and how the religious communities can use their resources to transform their communities....

"Muslims recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah, not in the same way Christians do (but Christians themselves anyway have never all agreed with each other on Jesus Christ’s nature), but in the following way: '...the Messiah Jesus son of Mary is a Messenger of God and His Word.... Let this common ground be the basis of all future interfaith dialogue between us." See Tony Blair Foundation

October 2010

The Multicultural Cult: Part II: "...attempts to get black or Hispanic youngsters to speak the language of the society around them are decried by multiculturalists. And any attempt to get them to behave according to the cultural norms of the larger society is denounced as 'cultural imperialism,' if not racism.....

"The multicultural dogma is that we are to 'celebrate' all cultures, not change them. In other words, people who lag educationally or economically are to keep on doing what they have been doing.... And, if they don't have better results in the future, it is society's fault." See The Earth Charter's Unholy Ark

How 'The Shack' seduced evangelicals: "De Young warns in a newly released book of his own that 'The Shack' author William Paul Young's primary intent was not to tell a good story that happened to contain theology but to teach an unorthodox view of God he claims changed his life. Undergirding 'The Shack,' De Young told WND in an interview, is an age-old heresy – universal reconciliation – that diminishes the work of Jesus on the cross and the holiness and justice of God by asserting that everyone eventually will be saved from eternal damnation....

"De Young laments 'a great lack of discernment' in Christian media and publishing that is willing to 'look askance at the doctrine' if a book enjoys widespread popularity and makes a lot of money." See Deceived by a counterfeit "Jesus"

Obama's Shifting Faith and Loyalties : "Unlike chameleons, ambitious politicians face an inconvenient obstacle: printed documentation. When facades clash with facts, a skeptic can check the records. So can we. So let's take a fresh look at Obama's 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani. How well did he present the Christian message to the American public? How well does it match his more recent testimony? And, what's most important, how well does his testimony actually match Biblical truth?

"OBAMA: I am a Christian. So, I have a deep faith.... On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences.... I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people." This 2007 article illustrates the lack of respect for the Bible:

Truth or Heresy?  'Almost Christian' teenagers cause concern for church scholars: "...many young people are 'almost Christian' — they believe in God, but they don't believe Christian doctrines. That has caused several youth ministries to move from fun and games at youth groups to more intense Bible studies. They also want kids involved in more outreach and in volunteer work. Leaders believe this approach will make faith stick so young people will retain their faith when they go to college or into the work world....

"Researchers found that most young people believe in something they labeled 'Moralistic Therapeutic Deism.'” See Standing Firm - No compromise

Controversy Brews Over UM Seminary Interfaith Move: "On June 9, United Methodist Claremont School of Theology Jerry Campbell announced that his seminary will begin training Muslim and Jewish clergy, with eventual hopes of training Hindu and Buddhist clergy." See Re-Inventing the Church

July 2010

Uniting Religions for World Change: The G8 World Religions Summit: "The history of the G8 World Religions Summit goes back to 2005. That year, Jim Wallis of Sojourners... teamed up with the Archbishop of Canterbury to 'raise the voices of the faith leaders of the world in unity and in a call for [social] justice.'...

"The interfaith approach, by default, recognizes Jesus as one spiritual leader in a long line of religious reformers. That’s all. Nothing more. Hence, at global interfaith events, like the one that took place in Winnipeg, Christian representatives remain silent on the subject of Jesus Christ as truth, '…the only way to the Father.' For to do otherwise would be divisive and contrary to the ideal of 'one community.” See Heresy in High Places

The Shack Author Says: 'The God of Evangelical Christianity is a Monster': "Young told the audience that 'the God of evangelical Christianity is a monster.' ...Young also rejects the biblical view of atonement (wherein Jesus died as a substitute for us to pay the price of our sins). ...his book has now sold 14 million copies. He says that he believes his book has been a 'god thing' to heal people's souls because so many people have been tainted by this evangelical God." See Deceived by a counterfeit "Jesus"

June 2010

When the church abandons truth: "James De Young explains why his 'Burning Down the Shack' is getting flak....If 'The Shack' fails to tell the truth, then it should be exposed. All writing should be so critiqued by asking: Does it measure up to the touchstone of Scripture?... When Origen in the third century first began propagating universalism in forms just like those of today, the early church rose up and condemned it as heresy in the fifth century. But Christians give little place to early history and so are deceived by an old heresy....

"In 1846, Matthew Hale Smith published a book to warn about universal salvation. He traced his own conversion as a return to biblical faith after preaching universalism for a dozen years. He warns evangelical readers that universalism employs various deceptive means to propagate this heresy, including children's stories and fiction!...

"I'm not surprised at the opposition that has risen against 'Burning Down the Shack.' We are living in a time when feeling trumps fact, when relationship with God is the chief issue (the stated theme of 'The Shack').... Sadly, even pastors are fearful of alienating anyone by preaching the whole message of Jesus Christ, which was often harsh, narrow and critical of those who put tradition or wrong theology in place of the truth (Matt. 15:1-20). His exclusivist claims, such as 'I am the way, the truth, and the life,' run contrary to the spirit of pluralism today." See From Truth to a New Spirituality

April 2010

The New Global Civility: "Yet another broad ecumenical coalition has gathered together to sign yet another 'covenant' for 'common ground' and 'civility.'... These 'civility' documents are rife with the phrases 'common ground,' 'good will,' or 'common good,' which are the new mantras for the much-anticipated national and global era of peace and reconciliation. The latest one is called 'A Covenant for Civility: Come Let Us Reason Together,' by Jim Wallis of Sojourners, and described as: 'A group of more than 100 prominent Christians ranging from evangelical minister Jim Wallis [President Obama's spiritual adviser] on the political left to Nixon White House aide Chuck Colson on the right...." See Tony Blair Interfaith Foundation

Interfaith Movement gains new strength: "An Islamic Sufi dervish greets you at the door, but the program director, an Episcopalian, makes the announcements. A rabbi, a female Muslim and a Seventh-day Adventist share leadership of the meeting.... It involves unlikely allies, such as leading Christian 'emergent' leader Brian McLaren, who was roundly criticized during Ramadan last year when he fasted the entire month out of solidarity with Muslims.

"It involves unlikely support, such as that offered by the Obama White House, which has identified interfaith work as a public policy goal. President Obama's Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships has an 'interreligious dialogue and cooperation' task force that includes a female Hindu priest, an Orthodox Jewish layman, a female Muslim pollster....

"Some of the biggest movers and shakers in the interfaith movement are governments in Muslim states... Soon after British Prime Minister Tony Blair retired, he founded an interfaith foundation in London to 'promote respect and understanding about the world's major religions and show how faith is a powerful force for good in the modern world.'" See From Truth to a New Spirituality

Blair courts controversial US pastor Rick Warren in bid to unite faiths: "Tony Blair is preparing to launch a 'faith offensive' across the United States over the next year, after building up relationships with a network of influential religious leaders and faith organisations.... According to the annual accounts of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, a UK-based charity that promotes cohesion between the major faiths, the foundation is to develop a US arm that will pursue a host of faith-based projects....The foundation's advisory council of religious leaders includes Rick Warren....'" U.S. Department of Peace: Healing the Soul of America?  "...thus far, 288 House members have expressed approval for a bill that would create a U.S. Department of Peace. Far left Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced this bill and he and others believe a Cabinet level Department of Peace just might chase evil, war, and terrorism away! So they state they will 'augment our current problem solving options, providing practical, nonviolent solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict.' Presto! ...

Blending church and magic. Africa's 'Christian' population on rise -- But will tribal rituals be overcome by the Gospel? "...Operation World reports Uganda is 88 percent Christian and Kenya is about 78 percent Christian. Missions analysts at the Free Methodist Church of North America say their African churches are the fastest growing in their denomination and the largest Anglican province in the world is in Nigeria. But Jonathan Bonk, director of the Overseas Ministries Study Center in New Haven, Conn., says the key is how Christian is defined. 'Self-definition as Christian has a long history, and conversion does not always result in 'fruit in keeping with repentance.'

"As extraordinarily dynamic as churches in Africa appear to be, the acid test is still the outcome of it all," he said.... 'Is there any evidence that Christian conversion is making a difference?'...  'Remember that Rwanda was the most 'Christian' nation on earth, in pure demographic terms. What difference did such 'Christian' faith make to those who wielded the machetes?... There's a huge disconnect here, that raises serious questions about just what we mean by Christian.'...

"Busby points to a problem that is rampant on the continent. '...90 percent of the continent still believes in witchcraft and spells, yes even the Christians....

"Zurowski said some Christians try to mix animism with Christianity. 'Also there are many in African churches who still practice tribal rituals. They sing and dance on Sunday and go to the witch doctor on Monday....

"Every store is named 'Jesus is King Furniture' or 'Hallelujah Burgers.' If you are not conforming to this false activity just to make a 'buck' you won't have customers." Temptation? I create my own values!

[Australia Dec. 3-9. It ends today]  Parliament of World's Religions & Our Mission: "The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions was created to cultivate harmony among the world's religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world." See the next link:

Dr Hans Küng and Dr Dipak Jain Call for Economic Justice: "The Age newspaper of Australia has written an article on major speakers Dr Hans Küng and Dr Dipak Jain, participants in the Parliament’s program A New Ethical Manifesto for the Global Economy.  "We have a responsibility to build an adequate financial structure in which ethics is not the icing on the cake,' said Küng, while Jain commented that business schools are partly responsible for the prevailing corporate culture."

Brian McLaren Paints Critics as Gay-Hating Bigots: "While emergents supposedly are intellectual, open-minded people who enjoy conversations with subtle nuances and lots of mystery, McLaren actually sees things in black and white. Anyone who is not willing to jettison cardinal doctrine and embrace his 'new kind of Christianity' is painted as ready to commit hate crimes and would support mistreating gays. What an appallingly dishonest way to deal with your critics, McLaren." See The Rising World Religion

Compassion unites the world's faiths: "We have called on the world to sign up to a Charter for Compassion. Compassion is the principled determination to put ourselves into the place of the other and it lies at the heart of all truly religious and ethical systems. The charter...has been composed by leading thinkers in many different faiths. Thousands of people have contributed to it online. It is a cooperative effort to restore compassion to the center of religious, moral and political life. Why is this so important? One of the most urgent tasks of our generation is to build a global community, where men and women of all races, nations and ideologies can live together in peace. Religion... should be making a major contribution to this endeavor..." See Tony Blair's Interfaith Foundation

New Charter for Compassion Website Launches: "The Charter for Compassion... is a single document crafted by people from all walks of life, nationalities, beliefs and backgrounds with the intent to unify, inspire and bring compassion back into the hearts of society. ... Catholicism & Islam: Ties That Bind: "In her zeal to be the spiritual voice of the world's religions, she talks out of both sides of her ecumenical mouth. Regarding her relationship to Islam, not only has she made to those of the Muslim faith some theological overtures which contradict Christian orthodoxy, but even worse, there are ties between the two religions which go a lot deeper than most people realize.... Roman Catholicism recognizes Allah as the God of the Bible. In 1985, Pope John Paul II declared to an enraptured audience of thousands of Muslim youths, 'Christians and Muslims, we have many things in common as believers and as human beings... We believe in the same God...."

Pentagon denies flyover of patriotic 'God and Country Rally'...because of its Christian content: "This marks the first time in the 42 year history of the event that a flyover request was denied by the Pentagon. The event is held ever year to honor the spiritual foundations of our country with a special emphasis on the men and women who serve in the armed forces. ...they were denied the request for a flyover this year because of the "Christian" nature of the event.... The group is concerned that this new policy may indicate an open hostility toward public expressions of faith by the Obama Administration." See Purging the Memory of Our Christian Roots

But Islam is OK. Remarks of President Barack Obama Ramadan Message: "Ramadan is a time of intense devotion and reflection... These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.... America will always stand for the universal rights of all people to speak their mind, practice their religion, contribute fully to society and have confidence in the rule of law. All of these efforts are a part of America’s commitment to engage Muslims and Muslim-majority nations on the basis of mutual interest and mutual respect."

We are all Hindus now: "A million-plus Hindus live in the United States, a fraction of the billion who live on Earth. But recent poll data show that conceptually, at least, we are slowly becoming more like Hindus and less like traditional Christians in the ways we think about God, our selves, each other, and eternity. ... A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. Jesus is one way, the Qur'an is another, yoga practice is a third. None is better than any other; all are equal. The most traditional, conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this. They learn in Sunday school that their religion is true, and others are false. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.' Americans are no longer buying it..."See Heresy in High Places and Inauguration Prayers

When Evangelicals Dine with the Wicked: "[Willow Creek’s] 2009 conference is assembling to hear from Tony Blair.... Blair is one of the chief players on the globalistic, one-world religion agenda. ... The launch of Face to Faith, a new global education programme: "....schools are recognising the need to equip young people with the skills to contribute to an increasingly global, interdependent society. Collaboration and communication skills, information and media literacy [the kind that embraces liberal views but dismisses traditional values and Biblical Truth] are all to be regularly found on the syllabus, acknowledged as vital tools for the 21st century....

"We are already seeing how new technologies are stimulating radically new approaches .... Why not apply these technologies in such a way as to encourage students of different faiths to learn directly with, from and about each other ... Face to Faith also contributes to the project component of the 'Global Perspectives' IGSCE from Cambridge Assessment..." See Global Spirituality: Tony Blair, UNESCO and the EU

Islamic Society reaches out to other faiths: "...even if Obama doesn’t show [up], the nation’s largest Muslim organization already landed a high-profile guest: Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren. He will join a panel discussion that is the main session of a four-day convention expected to attract 40,000 Muslims from across the country.... 'ISNA is very interested in extending their connections with Protestant groups,' said Rafia Zakaria.... 'Having a figure as high profile as him gives them legitimacy to extend those kinds of alliances with church groups that have a significant amount of power in the United States.'...

Blair hails 'God's love'... as he stands alongside Obama at prayer breakfast: "...religion is under attack from without and from within. From within, it is corroded by extremists who use their faith as a means of excluding the other. The plan for the office to partner with the National Security Council to foster interfaith dialogue around the world represents an important new expansion of the office's duties from the Bush years.... Most Americans Pick and Choose Religious Beliefs: "Among those who describe themselves as Christians, for instance, nearly half believe that Satan does not exist, one-third say that Jesus sinned when He was on earth, two-fifths say they do not have a responsibility to share the Gospel with others, and one-quarter dismiss the idea that the Bible is accurate in all of its teachings.... Others... believe that a person can do enough good works to earn eternal salvation. ...'This has resulted in an abundance of unique worldviews based on personal combinations of theology drawn from a smattering of world religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam as well as secularism.'"
