The answer is simple: a distorted conscience that scorns Biblical truth.
Unlike secular Marxists and power-hungry pragmatists, these three "religious" groups (and many others) are shaped by captivating belief and values that clash with God's Word. Driven by firm convictions, they follow their conscience rather than humanist logic. But their aims fuel rage and revolution rather than love and faithfulness.
Re-inventing morality for the Global Community
In April 1997, our friend Carl Teichrib, publisher of the Canadian, attended a Youth Congress in Vancouver titled "Global Citizenship 2000." Sponsored by the International Foundation of Learning, it challenged 14 teams of student leaders to design Millennium projects that would be used to inspire students, teachers, mentors and politicians everywhere. Later, he described the Millennium Projects proposed by the students. Do you wonder where their ideas came from?
Develop a Global Citizenship theme park with exhibitions such as an "imagination market" and a ride where people discover what it would be like to be cut down as a tree....
Create a Global Citizenship Club in the school, making sure the students get involved in saving the environment. An additional bonus: "We can influence the parents..."
Eliminate prejudice based on race, ethnicity, religion, culture, social status, sex and age
Develop an Inter-Faith Council
Create a Global Citizenry Charter of Rights. Give the kids some morals to live by.
Of course, those man-made morals had nothing to do with Biblical morality. They had everything to do with creating a new world without any Biblical moral boundaries.
One sat sat on a round table and held pine branches in her hands. "Welcome to the Council of Human Beings," she began. "I represent Mother Earth." In turn, the other women laid their hands on her and confessed their sins. Mother Earth (ME) acknowledged each confession with a brief, "I hear you," then posed the next challenge: "How can you heal me?"
"I can stop wasting water by only taking what I need," said the first repentant sinner.
"I forgive you," said ME.
One woman wept as she confessed her sin of giving birth to too many children. At the end, the group received a hearty applause.
The host of the conference was Robert Muller, former Secretary General of . From his occult/theosophical perspective, the biggest wrong is the Christian view of man and nature. He may never have read the passages in the Bible that shows God's special concern for His creation-trees, flowers, wild and domestic animals.
But it wouldn't matter if he did. The "new morality" must reflect a unifying, enforceable ideology focused on anything other than the sovereign God of the universe. And every human conscience must be trained to support it!
That's why unthinkable tolerance for evil must be nurtured. And traditional intolerance of sin must be conquered through disapproval, shame, and Hate Crime Laws. Homeland Security lists the classes most likely to violate this rule. They include Christains, military folk, pro-life advocates, and those who love American freedom and oppose centralized government dictatorship.

Lee was shot and killed by police after he took several hostages and threatened to set off explosives...The Washington Post called him an 'environmental militant'....To the general public, his views are certainly extreme, but the alarming reality is, within the Green movement, his views are mainstream. Lee wrote that he was greatly influenced by Al Gore’s 'Inconvenient Truth.'... What has grabbed the most attention was Lee’s hatred for the human race." Fueling Revolution through Religious Tyranny
"Slow to weigh in last month on the New York mosque question, Mr. Obama's team moved quickly this week to speak out forcefully against plans by a small Florida church to torch copies of the Muslim holy book on Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.....Mr. Obama himself held out hope the pastor would rethink his plans. 'I hope he listens to those better angels and understands that this is a destructive act that he's engaging in.”Flap over Koran burning an unwelcome distraction for Obama:
U.S. Military Commander Issues Warning Ahead of Florida Church’s Planned Quran-Burning: "A week that culminates in the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and the end of Ramadan began with angry protests in two Muslim countries over plans by a small church in Florida to burn copies of the Quran on Saturday....The non-denominational church says it plans to go ahead despite threats, the denial of a bonfire permit, and appeals by Christian organizations and others for it to reconsider....This week brought fresh protests in Indonesia and Afghanistan, a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and a warning from the top U.S. general in Afghanistan that the planned event may put American troops deployed there in harm’s way....
"In 2005, at least 15 Afghans were killed during a week of rioting after Newsweek reported that a copy of the Quran was thrown into a toilet at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility. The Pentagon said investigations found no evidence to support the claim, which the newsmagazine retracted." See Spiritual Warfare
Afghans burn an efficy of Dove World Outreach Center's pastor: "Hundreds of Afghans railed against the U.S. and called for President Barack Obama's death at a rally in the capital Monday to denounce the American church's plans to burn the Islamic holy book on 9/11.""O our God... we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You." 2 Chronicles 20:12

CATEGORY . A President's Class War : One may argue that Mr. Obama's community-organizer attacks on the wealthy in front of a union crowd (delivered with the tone and syntax of bar-stool resentment) are meant to keep the party's perpetually angry left-wing base agitated enough to vote in November. But since the earliest days of his presidency, starting with his first economic message, Mr. Obama has harped on the idea that "well-off and well-connected" economic factions in the U.S. have done something explicit to shaft the middle class. Yesterday's Cleveland speech was more of the same See ARTICLE
Just about as bad as a distorted conscience is the loss of any conscience. We see that all around us as well. As Henninger points out:Whose fault is it that public schools in blue-collar districts ill-prepare so many working-class "graduates" to get and hold modern jobs? Did Wall Street ruin the schools, too?
For years business leaders have begged the public sector to upgrade the skill sets coming out of the schools. Before the recession, I recall a piece in the Cleveland Plain Dealer about a Great Lakes tugboat maker who said he couldn't find people with the smarts to do the high-level welding his boats demanded. Our economy has been free-riding on corporate training programs for years and may discover post-recession that the real unemployment rate sticks at just below 9%, as in Europe.
Wonder Land
In his Milwaukee speech, Mr. Obama conflates "the middle class" with "the working class." They're not the same anymore. In an important piece in the Journal last Friday, "The Generation That Can't Move On Up," Andrew Cherlin and Brad Wilcox described how many working-class men and women are disconnecting from the basic values and moorings of middle-class life: "They're becoming socially disengaged, floating away from the college-educated middle-class.'' They marry less, go to church less, and lose interest in being part of civic life.
"These working-class couples still value marriage highly," note Messrs. Cherlin and Wilcox, "but they don't think they have what it takes to make a marriage work." So they downshift to co-habitation, changing partners and dragging their confused children with them.
Messrs. Cherlin and Wilcox end with a good question: "Will their social disengagement leave them vulnerable to political appeals based on anger and fear?"
Barack Obama's Labor Day speech in Milwaukee pumped out more angry, class-based political demagoguery than the nation needs now and more than this president's independent supporters expected of him.
Aspects of Mr. Obama's early agenda for education as the answer to the income gap were hopeful, but that is being backed out by his deeper class-justice obsessions. So much of what the president has done so far looks as if he believes the primary solution to the inexorable global economic pressures on the U.S. is to simply engineer a massive wealth transfer downward. ...
Author Don Feder provided a simple illustration in his IAugust 8 article. Returning to her car after shopping, his wife found a woman's handwritten note on the windshield. Apparently it's message was prompted by an anti-Obama bumper sticker was clear: “How sad that someone filled with so much hate has a child. May God bless and forgive you.” Feder explained:
"The verdict (doubtless from someone who considers herself non-judgmental) was prompted by anti-Obama bumper stickers and a child’s car seat, which the snoop spotted. That she was looking in our car is a bit scary. Then again, perhaps she was checking for assault rifles...

"...we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor
handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if
our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the
god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of
the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do
not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants
for Jesus’ sake.

"...even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. 'And do
not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.' But 'sanctify 'the Lord God in

conduct in Christ may be ashamed." 1 Peter 3:14-16
