Page 119 Rick Warren wrote "Here on earth we are given "the riches...of his grace...kindness..patience..glory..wisdom..power..and mercy. #10. On this one, he failed to list which "Bible version" he used, but listed 6 verses. Searching the scriptures, I found he had used scriptures necessary to salvation, but removed everything necessary for salvation.1) Eph. 1:7 In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace.( What happened to redemption, blood and forgiveness of sins?)2) Rom. 2:4 Or despiseth thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentence. (His attributes lead us to repentence.)3) Rom. 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory. (The Father was not taken by surprise, leaving the cross as plan B, as some churches are teaching).4) Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out. (Wisdom and knowledge refer to his judgments.)5) Eph.3:16 That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in; the inner man. (It is the Holy Spirit that gives us power).6) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love where with he loved us. (It is by his mercy and love we can be saved).Using the Message, Warren has used the salvation verses to appeal to the flesh.
