From a concerned mother:  I've yet to see a direct warning for Christians about what is taught in childbirth classes, for instance, Lamaze instruction.  Lamaze has been taught for at least 20 years.  How many thousands of pregnant mothers have been through this training?  Lamaze has been described as self-hypnosis.  How many mothers and infants were opened to the occult because of it?  How has it affected the lives of the children as they grew up?  I think the good that Lamaze and Bradley did should definitely be acknowledged but a warning needs to be sounded.

Lamaze is mentioned in this article on yoga -

Article excerpt -

In 1953, Dr. Fernand Lamaze published his findings about labor and delivery in Russia. His philosophy substituted scientism for faith and introduced self-hypnotism as a method of coping and a way to remove God from the birth arena. His "prepared childbirth classes" were accepted by many hospitals because the instructors taught couples to accommodate hospital practices instead of listening to their own bodies. His work did, however, open the door to childbirth education classes and helped bring the father's back into the picture.

Not many years later, Dr. Robert Bradley introduced his philosophy of husband-coached childbirth in a book by the same name. Dr. Bradley believed that God gave women the ability and instinct to give birth naturally. He encouraged fathers to take an active roll in pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. He advocated prepared, natural, non-medicated childbirth, breastfeeding, and shared parenting. He encouraged couples to rely on their faith in God and the skills they learning in childbirth classes to prepare them for labor and delivery. http://www.geocities.com/titus2birthing/birthhistory.html

Bradley sounds wonderful, yet this is on another site about him, and I'm not sure which view of him is correct:

The Bradley method of natural childbirth was received from a spirit guide. Here are his words.

"I am a great believer in spirit guidance. I think it is the only logical explanation for some of the things that have happened to me . . . I personally think spirit communication is going on constantly, that we are never alone. The talks I give, the ideas I have on natural childbirth came to me either in sleep or from direct spirit communication." (Robert A. Bradley, "The Need for the Academy of Parapsychology and Medicine," The Varieties of Healing Experience: Exploring Psychic Phenomenon in Healing, Los Altos, CA: Academy of Parapsychology and Medicine, 1971, pp. 100-101.)

From Skip J:  Fascinating! Isn't interesting that the devil and his human emissaries are presenting children who have been brought up by airheaded, TV parents, as some kind of evolutionarily advanced spiritual creatures, when in fact, they are spoiled, rebellious, sociopathic brats.

It reminds me of a book I read years ago by a Dr. Harrington (if I remember right!) titled, "Psychopaths," written back in the 70s. In it
he traced the discovery of, and diagnoses of, sociopaths/psychopaths, and talked about how though they were societies' pariahs, their numbers were increasing. He felt that since books and movies were making antiheroes of these types of individuals, they would very soon be accepted as superior humans, and in fact their numbers would increase until they dominated society.

I think he's right and that they're here.

 you've got me thinking again,

Interesting observations, Skip. Thanks!

From Daniel: You dwell too much on the old style of thinking. A good book that i suggest you read, is the book "Indigo Children" which shows you how the human mind is evolving from generation to generation.

That book is based on metaphysical mysticism and New Age spirituality, Daniel. It fits in with your other comments, but it clashes with Biblical guidelines on every point. I hope you will reject its tempting suggestions. Please see Colossians 2:8
