University backs down – removes Jesus dartboard: "After an outcry was raised by students, potential students, alumni and the general public, Rutgers University has removed a 'provocative and controversial' piece of artwork from the campus library.... 'It is surprising that a state university would allow this,' wrote Rutgers graduate Natalie Caruso. 'I asked them to take it down because I found it disrespectful and they refused. How is this acceptable!?'” See Purging the Memory of Our Christian Roots

The Heretical Blasphemy of Joel Osteen: The Power of I AM (Video): "Joel Osteen excitedly begins to urge his followers to repeat after him – "Alright just repeat after me. I am strong. I am healthy. I am confident. I am confident. I am secure. I am talented. I am creative. I am disciplined. I am focused. I am valuable. I am beautiful....'

"This is what passes for preaching in 2015, Laodicean slop where YOU are the focus and God is nothing more than an errand boy who is expected to provide 'stuff' on demand.”

VIDEO: Women's group worships Hillary at campaign event, swapping her name for Jesus in Gospel song:  "Well… this is just… scary. The 'Women’s Alternative Chorus' group 'Voices of the Heart' decided to kick Jesus out of an old gospel song and replace him with Hillary for a recent campaign event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Minister Who Denies God’s Existence: I Don’t Appreciate Being Told I’m Not a Christian: "A Presbyterian USA minister in Oregon who says that he doesn’t believe in God—and doesn’t require his members to believe either—remarked in a recent article that he is offended by those who assert that he is not a Christian.

“'Someone quipped that my congregation is BYOG: Bring Your Own God. I use that and invite people to ‘bring their own God’—or none at all,' wrote John Shuck.... Hillary: “Religious Beliefs Have To Be Changed” To Support Abortion Rights: "Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took a feminist tone on Thursday. Presbyterian Church and Arab Palestinian Group rewriting the Bible to remove references to Israel: "This new version blatantly changes God’s Word. Any mention of Israel – gone. ... The movement which has brought the world a NEW bible, is called Palestinian Liberation Theology. At its heart is hatred for the Jewish people and for Israel. Of course, keeping in line with this hatred, the leaders of this satanic movement have changed Jesus (Yeshua) from being Jewish to being a Palestinian Arab."  See Signs of the times

Happy 2015? Newsweek hit piece smears Bible, Christians: "Newsweek is launching the New Year with an old school attack on the Bible and Christians. 'Newsweek’s 16-page diatribe portrays Evangelical Christians as homophobic, right-wing fundamentalist hypocrites who believe an unbelievable Bible....

"Newsweek’s cover story is exactly what happens when a writer fueled by open antipathy to evangelical Christianity tries to throw every argument he can think of against the Bible and its authority,' Mohler wrote on his blog. 'To put the matter plainly, no honest historian would recognize the portrait of Christian history presented in this essay as accurate, and no credible journalist would recognize this screed as balanced.” See Mocking God and His Guidelines

'Noah' Review: Brilliantly Sinister Anti-Christian Filmmaking: "When atheist director and co-writer Darren Aronofsky promised that his epic 'Noah' would be 'the least biblical film ever made,' that was not hyperbole. 'Noah' is a brilliant, compelling...piece of storytelling conceived for the sinister purpose of leading people to believe that Christianity and Judaism are something they are not....

"I ask you, could anything make Satan happier than something that leads people to believe they are saved when they are not? ... Aronofsky is the snake in the garden. Using $135 million, he and Paramount have brilliantly and deviously disguised the Pagan god Gaia as the God of the Old Testament … as THE God.

"And let's give the Devil his due: using the story of Noah to twist Christianity into something it is not, is a genius piece of propagandizing that is sure to lead many away from God under the mistaken belief that through left-wing environmentalism they are coming closer to Him. ...

Atheist ‘mega-churches’take root across US, world: "It looked like a typical Sunday morning at any mega-church. Presbyterians' decision to drop hymn stirs debate: "The committee putting together a new Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) hymnal dropped the popular modern hymn 'In Christ Alone' because the song's authors refused to change a phrase.... The original lyrics say that 'on that cross, as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.'

"The Presbyterian Committee on Congregational Song wanted to substitute the words, 'the love of God was magnified.'...Critics say the proposed change was sparked by liberals wanting to take God's wrath out of the hymnal."

          Here are some relevant Scriptures:

"He is the living God and the everlasting King.  At His wrath the earth will tremble..." Jeremiah 10:10.

"...the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness..."  (Romans 1:18)

"Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him." (Romans 5:8-9)

Dem Party official makes students 'stomp on Jesus': "A Florida college professor causing national outrage for requiring students to write 'Jesus' on a piece of paper, then put it on the floor and stomp on it, turns out also to be a top official in the local Democratic Party. ...one student who refused to participate claims he was punished by being suspended from the class.”

Obama Calls on Boy Scouts to Allow Gay Members, Leaders: "As the national executive board of the Boy Scouts of America is expected to discuss, and possibly vote on, its strict no-gays member policy this week, President Barack Obama for the first time addressed the issue, saying the BSA should allow gays to be members and leaders.... Asked if scouting should be open to gays, Obama gave a one-word reply, 'Yes.'" See Purging the Memory of Our Christian Roots

Could be a dangerous decision by Boy Scouts: "Because the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have had to endure years of legal costs and the pressure of two corporate CEO’s who are on the BSA board (Randall Stephenson of AT&T and James Turley of Ernst & Young), the BSA is considering a policy to allow local councils to allow open homosexuals to serve as scout masters.... Newsweek Likens Obama To Jesus—Calls Second Term ' The Second Coming': "Newsweek celebrated President Obama's upcoming inauguration with a 'cover' that calls the event 'the second coming,' an apparent reference to the return of Jesus Christ....The cover highlights an article by former editor Evan Thomas, who once compared Obama to God.... Newsweek's Jesus versus the Real Jesus: "Every year, several mainstream media outlets...seek to sully this message by futilely attempting to discredit the historical Jesus and/or Scripture. This year Newsweek's Andrew Sullivan....attempted to rewrite the focal point of Christianity, changing it from the resurrection to a Jesus made in his image....But Sullivan relies on faulty logic, disingenuous reasoning, and out-right falsities to make his argument....
"Without the resurrection, Jesus' actions during his life and his persecution make him no different than the thousands of Christian martyrs who have come since. No grace, no propitiation, no conquering of sin and death."

Where's the Outrage? ABC Premieres Show Called "GCB": "ABC Television, Disney, premiered a new drama on Sunday night. It is called GCB. ....It's a TV show based on a book by the name 'Good Christian Bitches.' ...There has not been a peep about this. No outrage. No concern."
Would ABC dare to degrade Muslims with such labels? Would any other immigrant group face such hostility from the Mainstream Media?

Why They Don't “get’ Perdition: "There are a growing number of evangelicals who have been denying the Christian teaching on several key doctrines, including the Christian definition of marriage, the exclusivity of the gospel, the nature of God and the final fate of the wicked. ... The fifth annual 'Faith and Feminism Conference...is being hosted by the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in San Francisco....Among the scheduled participants is Loreon Vigne, high priestess of Isis....'Guided meditation is where the audience closes their eyes and you take them on a little journey,' she explained. 'I've taken people to their past lives in Egypt.... Other events at the conference include... sacred drums, sacred dance and Kundalini Yoga..."

Hell-Skeptic Ex-Pastor Rob Bell Headed for Hollywood: "...the first of Bell’s opportunities is penning the pilot of a TV show based loosely on his life....Bell and Cuse first met up a few years back, at Time magazine’s 100-most-influential-people-in-the-world dinner. They kept in touch and ultimately came up with the idea of a series that would be loosely based on Bell’s own life story as a musician who ended up founding his own church, Michigan’s Mars Hill Bible Church" See Rob Bell's Worldly Heaven and Earth-Based Hell

New Modern Bible Translation Proves More Popular Than Expected: "The CEB [new Common English Bible] has been approved for use in classrooms at Fuller Theological Seminary in Southern California. It was given the green light for its gender-inclusive language and its accessible language. Some of the changes in the new translation include replacing the term 'alien' with 'immigrant,' updating 'brother' with 'brother or sister,' and changing 'the Son of Man' to 'the Human One.'...The CEB was developed over four years and the process involved ...more than 500 persons from 22 faith traditions..."

But the CEB's deceptive changes go far beyond the actual translation. They give new "politically correct" man-pleasing meanings to God's original message. As He warned us long ago:

"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it..."Deut. 4:2

When God Judges a Nation: "No nation in recorded history has fallen from the truth and its favored position with God more quickly than America – except possibly Israel during ancient times. Within a short time of their miraculous exodus from Egypt – complete with God’s supernatural parting of the Red Sea and destruction of Pharaoh’s army – the Israelites built an idol representing a foreign god of demonic origin and began to worship it." See Purging the Memory of Our Christian Roots

A broader church: "...the Wild Goose Festival—named after a Celtic symbol for the Holy Spirit—kicked off on June 23rd on 72 wooded acres in eastern North Carolina.....About 1,500 people came to the American version, which explicitly pitched its appeal to artists and musicians, nonconformists, post-Christians, non-Christians, disaffected evangelicals and a liberal evangelical subset known as the 'emergent' church.

"Instead of Bible studies, there were labyrinth walks. Instead of praise-and-worship music, there was hymn-singing in a beer garden and a bluegrass liturgy presided over by a tattooed female Lutheran minister. Visitors were greeted with buckets of water in which to baptise themselves, and tubs of mud to remind them that 'dust thou art'." See From God's Truth to the "New Spirituality"

Muslim Group Offends Some Christians With Jesus Advertisements: "Roadside billboards in the metropolitan Sydney area carry one of four simple slogans: 'Jesus: A Prophet of Islam,' 'Holy Qur’an: The Final Testament,' 'Muhammad: Mercy to Mankind' and 'Islam: Got Questions? Get Answers.' Each banner invites people to get in touch by phone or online, for literature and a free copy of the Qur’an.... Muslims and interfaith advocates sometimes invoke Jesus to assert some sort of commonality with Christians, implying that Muslims, too, 'believe in Jesus.'...

'“Central to Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is more than a prophet,' [Porteous] said. 'He is the Son of God. He is acclaimed Lord and Savior.... This statement is a direct assault on Christian beliefs.'”  See Don't Be Deceived!

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME? "The command from Jesus was so simple: 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.' (Mark 16:15) How complicated is that? The world is right outside our door; and yet, look at the 'church' today and what those claiming to be His disciples and witnesses are actually conveying to that world just in the latest headlines alone:..

   • Many Born-Again Christians Hold Universalist Views

   • Utah church offers free Korans in Easter gesture...

   • Church Touts Homosexuality as a Gift, Not a Sin

   • 'A Massive Shift Coming in What it Means to Be a Christian'

Is it any wonder there is so much confusion about Who Jesus is... and that so many frustrated Bible believers are wandering from church to church these days looking for someone to simply preach it and teach it as it is written?" See Don't conform to the ways of the world

Video: Shariamerica: Islam, Obama, and the Establishment Clause: "The military burned Bibles because they were considered thrash. But the 'holy Koran' must be treated with respect and reverence."

Time Magazine Editor: Koran Is Directly The Word of God,’ Bible Just a Book ‘Written By Man’: "In the segment Time Magazine’s World Editor Bobby Ghosh told Chuck Todd that the riots and murders perpetrated by Muslims in Afghanistan were obviously understandable because the Koran is apparently more holy than the Christian Bible. ...

Ghosh: "The thing to keep in mind that’s very important here is that the Koran to Muslims, it is not, it is not the same as the Bible to Christians. The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. It’s the story of Jesus."...   "But the Koran, if you are a believer, if you’re a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, is directly the word of God. That makes it sacred in a way that it’s hard to understand if you’re not Muslim. So the act of burning a Koran is much more, potentially much, much more inflammatory than…

Todd: Directly attacking… directly attacking God."

If Rob Bell and Neale Donald Walsch are right, then Hitler will be in heaven!  [This is a dialogue between Walsch and a counterfeit "god":] "Neale Donald Walsch: 'Well, I’m going to have to ask the questions here that I know so many people are thinking and wanting to ask. How could a man like Hitler have gone to heaven? Every religion in the world... has declared him condemned and sent straight to hell.'

“God”: 'First, he could not have gone to hell because hell does not exist. Therefore, there is only one place left to which he could have gone. But that begs the question. The real issue is whether Hitler’s actions were 'wrong.' Yet I have said over and over again that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' in the universe. A thing is not intrinsically right or wrong. A thing simply is." See Conversations with an occult god

Repeated: Sojourners Founder Jim Wallis' Revolutionary Anti-Christian “Gospel”: "Marxism is nothing new to this old world. What Wallis is promoting is nothing new either. But let’s take the wood, hay, and stubble of Wallis’ dry old social justice gospel and throw some last days fuel on it: like the Emergent church’s mix of Catholicism and liberal Protestantism; add Rick Warren’s global PEACE plan, and Willow Creek’s annual Leadership Summits featuring speakers like Bono, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Tony Blair and Rick Warren, and before long things are burning out of control. Throw in the fact that the forward to Wallis’ book is written by Jimmy Carter, an anti-Israel leftist who is presently part of a group called 'The Elders' (a group of 12 men and women from around the world – including Mandela and Desmond Tutu)..." See Treason in the Church: Trading Truth for a "Social Gospel"

Mocking of Christ part of 'tolerance'? "San Francisco homosexuals have again mocked the holiest day of the year for Christians. ... and featured the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence -- a group of homosexual drag queens.... It's just another indication of the one-way street, which is 'tolerance' for homosexuals -- tolerance for me but not for you,' states LaBarbera. 'They demand respect for homosexuals even as they heap contempt upon Christians on the holiest day in the Christian calendar.'...Cal Thomas...wrote: 'Today's mockers would never dare to speak ill of Mohammed. They might have their throats slit...'" The Cross...Feared, Banned, Trivialized

Humanist Bible Copies the Christian Look but Leaves God Out: "Grayling, a leading U.K. atheist...said he modeled The Good Book: A Humanist Bible after the structure of the Bible.... However, the resemblances stop at appearances. This is, after all, a non-religious Bible. ...its book of Genesis states, 'All things take their origin from earlier kinds: Ancestors of most creatures rose from the sea, some inhabitants of the sea evolved from land-dwelling forefathers.' [So where did it all begin?]

"...the Bible tells of God giving Moses the Ten Commandments which include laws forbidding idol worship... In the secular alternative, Grayling gives readers commandments such as love well, seek the good in all things....

"...the Bible establishes that humanity...is innately sinful. The Good Book establishes that everything and everyone is innately good."

Rob Bell's False Hope, Worldly Heaven and Earth-Based Hell: "Popular 'emergent' Pastor Rob Bell has a unique ability to make God's Truth sound dubious as well as detestable. Then, having raised doubts about our holy God, he offers comforting counterfeits that fit today's quest for unity and community. Mocking the true Church as narrow and offensive, he promotes alternatives that resemble the vision of the sixties."

March 2011

Rob Bell: Universalist? "Rob Bell’s forthcoming book Love Wins has already raised perennial questions about universalism, exclusivism, the love of God, and heaven and hell. So what does the Bible say about these weighty matters? What did Jesus himself say? And what’s the best way to relate this teaching to a skeptical culture?" See Don't Be Deceived!  [By God's grace, I hope to write a review of Bell's deceptive suggestions this week. Actually, it may take several articles to counter all his mocking and heretical views -- many of which are now attracting seekers across America.]

New billboards: 'You Don't Need God': "New billboards go up in Indianapolis next week, telling drivers they don't need God. The signs target every side of the city as part of a nationwide campaign about living without religion. During the daily commute, drivers will see billboards that some call controversial. They proclaim 'You don't need God to hope, to care, to love, to live.'"

The Prosperity Gospel: "Recent days have brought multiple allegations of sexual abuse against Atlanta megachurch Bishop Eddie Long. It would be premature to judge the truth of these allegations, but it is not too soon to weigh in on his opulent lifestyle. His fancy cars, expensive clothing and vast estate, all funded on a multimillion-dollar salary, are part of his act—pushing the so-called prosperity gospel....

"The prosperity gospel—the idea that God guarantees truly faithful believers physical health and financial wealth—is not new. But cable and satellite television broadcasting have turned prosperity preachers into celebrities that have followings similar to musicians and movies stars." See Human Nature

It’s Official: Prayer Does Not Work! (Oh really?): “The study, which cost $2.4 million (mostly funded by John Templeton Foundation) …divided 1,802 patients into three groups, two of which were prayed for by members of three congregations: St. Paul’s Monastery... the Community of Teresian Carmelites... and Silent Unity.... The prayers were allowed to pray in their own manner, but they were instructed to include the following phrase in their prayers: ‘for a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications.’...

Why they hate God's Word: "Christianity doesn't fit the world's vision of global solidarity. It hinders progress toward global governance. It clashes with the amoral values and mind-dulling enticements needed to prepare the masses for 'change.' No wonder our globalist leaders seek ways to eradicate this inconvenient "obstacle!" They may even use Islam to accomplish their purpose.

"In their battle against Truth, these elite globalists seem blind to the spiritual war that rages in their midst. They don't realize that their foolish plans can never block God's will and power! He revealed His plan for the world ages ago, and He will surely fulfill it -- in His perfect time and way!"

My duty is to save the world: Prince Charles believes he was born for a purpose: "The Prince of Wales says he believes he has been placed on Earth as future King ‘for a purpose’ - to save the world....We seem to have lost that understanding of the whole of nature and the universe as a living entity.’... But the Prince has previously come under fire for hypocrisy over his eco-values." See the next link:

Repeated. (This interesting link to Fox News, March 7, 2002, no longer works) Winged Prince [Charles] is 'Savior of the World':  "The Prince of Wales is to be immortalized in bronze as a muscular, winged god dressed in nothing more than a loincloth. He will be the first living member of the Royal Family to have a life-size statue dedicated in his honor. Although the Prince is destined to become Defender of the Faith when he becomes King of England, the inscription on the statue in Brazil will honor him as 'Savior of the World.'...

"The sculpture, which will invite comparisons with the statue of Christ overlooking Rio de Janeiro from Corcovado, is set on a marble base. Sojourners Founder Jim Wallis' Revolutionary Anti-Christian “Gospel”: "Wallis believes that Castro’s Cuba, Chavez’s Venezuela, and Ortega’s Nicaragua are the Marxist paradises the US should emulate. ...one of his goals is to see the end of the US as we have known it.... So, after being arrested by the US government 22 times in forty years, where has he soft-landed? As spiritual advisor to President Obama.... He is a living, breathing advocate for total government control... or 'totalitarian socialism.'

"Wallis has known Obama for over twenty years, and during the 'Reverend Wright' damage control days, he was right there advising Obama on how to spin it, helping him draft many 'faith based initiatives,' to make the far left appear to have some form of religion....  Sojourners’ mission statement is this: '[F]ounded in 1971, our mission is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church and the world.” See Social Justice and the New Morality

Burning Down 'The Shack': "Millions of evangelical Christians are among the masses who have embraced William Paul Young's 'The Shack' as though it were gospel. Brian McLaren’s 'A New Kind of Christianity' – Assaulting Truth with a Vengeance: "In Brian McLaren’s latest book... the reader is cordially invited to join the author in a heretical assault upon God and the Bible. ...In fact, writes McLaren, 'what is trying to be born today echoes the Great Reformation in many ways.'....

"In his chapter, 'What is the Overarching Storyline of the Bible?’ McLaren notes he and others have 'dared to tweak' the content of the Word of God.... Thus this emergent 'Jesus' was never sent by the Father to die in our place for our sins. There is no substitutionary atonement. There is no original sin." See Who defines the Kingdom of God?

There's No Power in This Blood!  "Visit a Christian bookstore or publishing house Website and you might be surprised how many vampire-themed books you will see. What's wrong with the picture? Legions of people will tell you that nothing is wrong. They are, in fact, trying to sanctify vampirism....
"...one Christian publishing house after another is turning away solid manuscripts for corrupted ones on this demented topic. What an example of Isaiah 5:20 with evil being called good.... Allen Arnold of Thomas Nelson Publishers... states, 'Since the story of Christianity is one of redemption, Christian fiction should depict that redemption regardless of the subject matter. Rather than flee from a genre (like vampirism), we prefer to dive in and try to redeem it through a wholly original take.'"

Obamacare: Are We Really God's Partners in Life and Death? "‘We are God's partners in matters of life and death,' Obama said.... quoting from the Rosh Hashanah prayer that says that in the holiday period, it is decided who shall live and who shall die.' ...I'm not Jewish, but my understanding of that quote is that the Being doing the deciding is God, not us in partnership with the Almighty. February 17, 2001 New hymnal hits sour note for some: "A new 284-song supplement to the official United Methodist Hymnal is striking a sour note with some church leaders for lyrics that refer to God in feminine terms including 'Mothering Christ,' 'Womb of Life,' and 'strong mother God.' The five songs in The Faith We Sing that describe God as female are being decried as 'radical feminist theology,' both inaccurate and unacceptable.

Obama's Other Controversial Church: "Had a reporter asked Obama: 'So what were you doing during Bill Ayers' fugitive days?' An honest answer would be: 'I was going to Sunday school at a church which had provided sanctuary to US military deserters.' While John McCain was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Hanoi, First Unitarian Church of Honolulu -- at which the elementary-age Obama would later attend Sunday school after returning from Indonesia in 1970 or 71 -- was sheltering deserters and AWOLs recruited by ‘flirty fishing' coeds from a Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) group known as 'The Resistance'." 100 days in office, coronated Messiah: [The painting display was cancelled due to public disapproval] "On his 100th day in office, President Obama will be 'crowned' in messianic imagery at New York City's Union Square. Artist Michael D'Antuono's painting 'The Truth' – featuring Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head – will be unveiled on April 29 at the Square's South Plaza.... 'The Truth' is a politically, religiously and socially-charged statement on our nation's current political climate and deep partisan divide that is sure to create a dialogue.'" See The Cross... Feared, Banned, Trivialized...

Obama's Rock and Five Pillars: "Now, there's a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells the story of two men. The first built his house on a pile of sand, and it was soon destroyed when a storm hit. But the second is known as the wise man, for when 'the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.' ... We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand.... We must lay a new foundation for growth and prosperity.... It's a foundation built upon five pillars..."

Notice how God's Word is taken out of context and used to substantiate a global socialist  economic system -- or perhaps Islamic banking. The reference to "five pillars" will surely point some of his listeners to "The Five Pillars of Islam."

"Obama as Christ" Statue Causes Commotion in Chicago!: "Some call it art. Other call it blasphemy. A new piece of art showing Senator Barack Obama as Jesus Christ is now on display at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago."

Obama's triumphal entry: Gentle, riding on donkey: "...an artist in Iowa created an inaugural parade sure to draw attention, even hundreds of miles from Washington, D.C.: Barack Obama, riding on a donkey, complete with waving palm fronds...."
