Ask  your children:

Find answers in the Bible

  1. What does it tell you about God or the world's gods?

Is the message true?

  2. Is there a Christ-like person in the story? How might he (or she) confuse your understanding of Jesus?

(A counterfeit claim or false suggestion about our Lord is far worse than no such mention.)

  3. Is God's holy Word used out of context?

See God's eternal, unchanging Word

"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deut. 12:32

  4. What does it teach you about the invisible forces of evil?

"You love evil more than good...." Psalm 52:3

  5. Does it demonstrate faith?  Faith in whom or what?

  6. Might the imagined scenes stir interest in magic or other occult practices?

"This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods... shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing." Jeremiah 13:10

  7. Do the heroes in the story use magic, divination, sorcery or other forbidden practices?

"There shall not be found among you anyone who... practices witchcraft... interprets omens... conjures spells.... For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord...." Deut 18:10-12

  8. What does it tell you about life and death?

  9. What does it tell you about good and evil, right and wrong?

 10. What choice is God prompting you to make?
