Single motherhood is the new normal: "'It used to be called illegitimacy. Now it is the new normal.' The story cites Census Bureau figures by the Washington research group Child Trends showing that more than half of all births to women under 30 in this country are to women who are not married.... Norms have changed over the years. More than half of the children of the next generation may grow up in single-parent households. ...unmarried, single-parent households are far more likely to need government services. Additionally, the research shows that two-thirds of all couples that live together but don't marry eventually split." See Human Nature

The morality of normality: "...we have long known... that the idea of the 'normal' confers social sanction and, indeed, social approval. 'Everybody’s sin is nobody’s sin,' was Dr. Kinsey’s watchword in counting up all the different kinds of sexual behavior, hitherto considered sinful.... Anything that was normal had, on this view, to be OK just because it was normal...

"The cult of normality is the religion of the left, and it lies behind not just the liberal commitment to 'gay rights'—which can be summed up in the idea of a right to be normal—but in everything that modern liberals do. Historically, the worship of normality has its origins in the destruction of the old honor culture that, in one way of looking at it, worshiped the not-normal [such as faith and obedience to the Biblical God]. Once the general honor culture had been pushed aside... the way was open for the redefinition of those 'rights' that had originally been established on this continent by English gentlemen [our founders]..." Killing babies no different from abortion, experts say : "Parents should be allowed to have their newborn babies killed because they are “morally irrelevant” and ending their lives is no different to abortion, a group of medical ethicists linked to Oxford University has argued. The article, published in the Journal of Medical Ethics, says newborn babies are not 'actual persons' and do not have a 'moral right to life'. The academics also argue that parents should be able to have their baby killed if it turns out to be disabled when it is born." See Human Nature apart from a Christian conscience

Infanticide and the Deadly Threat of 'Personhood Theory': "...advocates of the new bioethical order want moral value to be measured individual-by-individual — whether animal or human — and moment-by-moment. Under this view, we each must earn full moral status by currently possessing capacities sufficient to be deemed a 'person.'  ...no one is ever permanently invested with human rights. In other words, if you can’t value your own life, your life has less value.

"In this view...the unborn, infants (at least through the first few weeks) and those who have lost relevant capacities because of, for example, late-stage Alzheimer’s or severe brain damage are not persons ....This means that you can be a person today but not tomorrow....

"...some bioethicists believe that some animals are persons and some humans aren’t, and link a Psychology Today interview with Peter Singer in which he asserts that PVS patients should be used in medical experiments in place of chimps and animals with higher cognition....

"Obamacare has centralized control of health care into the federal bureaucracy, including....a plethora of cost/benefit boards that will start operating within the next several years....Now consider what could happen if many or most of these board members adhere to the noxious view that 'human non-persons' do not have a right to life: To say the least, the potential for 'death panels' comes vividly into focus." Bill Gates Wants Death Panels: Dying People vs Teachers: Comments: (1) "...Gates just said: Teachers are more important than you are....Nice. 'Save a Life; Fire a Teacher!'" (2)"After hearing what Bill Gates said about choosing teachers over someone's life, I really have no respect for him." At least his values are consistent. See the next link:

Bill Gates Talks About Vaccines to Reduce World Population: [UK] "Microsoft founder... projects an image of a benign philanthropist using his billions [via his tax exempt Foundation] to tackle diseases, solve food shortages in Africa and alleviate poverty. In a recent conference in California, Gates reveals a less public agenda of his philanthropy—population reduction, otherwise known as eugenics....

"Gates made his remarks...in a speech titled, 'Innovating to Zero!.' Along with the scientifically absurd proposition of reducing manmade CO2 emissions worldwide to zero by 2050...Gates declares.'...The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.' ...Gates and Buffett are major funders of global population reduction programs, as is Turner, whose UN Foundation was created to funnel $1billion...into various birth reduction programs in the developing world."

Holdren's guru: Dispose of 'excess children' like puppies: "This is the third of a three-part series of articles exploring Obama administration science czar John P. Holdren's self-acknowledged intellectual debt to geochemist and early ecological alarmist Harrison Brown....  Holdren has echoed Brown's call for global government by advocating the United States should surrender sovereignty to a 'Planetary Regime' armed with sufficient military power to enforce population limits on nations as a means of preventing a wide range of perceived dangers from global eco-disasters....

"Brown even contemplates infanticide as a permissible solution to overpopulation in extreme situations, writing that 'if we cared little for human emotions and were willing to introduce a procedure which most of us would consider to be reprehensible in the extreme, all excess children could be disposed of much as excess puppies and kittens are disposed of at the present time.'...  Holdren acknowledged Brown's book transformed his thinking about the world..."

December 2009

Ministers of Euthanasia: "On August 16. 1977, NC governor James B. Hunt, Jr. wrote that he supported tax-funding of abortion (euthanizing 'unwanted' preborn children) because, he said, 'We must concentrate on raising new generations of children who aren’t stunted or handicapped in some way.'...

"In July 1980, New Ager Barbara Marx Hubbard received a nomination at the Democratic National Convention to be the vice-presidential candidate. This was the same year she authored The Book of Co-Creation saying that one-fourth of the earth’s population were 'defective seeds' who 'must be eliminated from the social body.'" October 2009

Birth control seen as 'green': "With a global conference on climate change looming in Copenhagen in December, it should come as no surprise that a flurry of studies have been released.... From the London School of Economics and Optimum Population Trust (OPT), a British think tank, comes a paper that explains that birth control is a very inexpensive way to combat climate change. For every $7 spent on birth control, one metric ton of CO2 emissions could be cut....

"Another report, from the Center for Environment and Population... argues that population issues (i.e., family planning) must be included in any plan to save the environment....None of the three reports I mention explains in detail how future populations should be reduced, although words like 'noncoercive'' and 'voluntarily' are often used when talking about birth control."

August 2009

Obama’s Science Czar Said a Born Baby ‘Will Ultimately Develop Into a Human Being’: "President Obama’s top science adviser said in a book he co-authored in 1973 that a newborn child 'will ultimately develop into a human being' if he or she is properly fed and socialized. 'The fetus, given the opportunity to develop properly before birth, and given the essential early socializing experiences and sufficient nourishing food during the crucial early years after birth, will ultimately develop into a human being,' John P. Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, wrote in Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions.... [which] argued that the human race faced dire consequences unless human population growth was stopped. We have this book and plan to prepare a page with its key quotes on this topic. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and a question of eugenics: "Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in Sunday's New York Times Magazine: 'Frankly I had thought that at the time [Roe vs. Wade] was decided... there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of.' ... Ginsburg was surprised when the Supreme Court in 1980 barred taxpayer support for abortions for poor women. After all, if poverty partly described the population you had 'too many' of, you would want to subsidize it in order to expedite the reduction of unwanted populations."

Clinton Advisor: Earth's Population Has Exceeded Limits: "One of most influential scientists in the US government has said that the Earth’s population has exceeded the planet’s 'limits of sustainability'. Dr Nina Fedoroff, the science and technology advisor to the US secretary of state, currently Hillary Clinton, told the BBC’s 'One Planet' program that 'There are probably already too many people on the planet.' ... Fedoroff’s comments echo those of other prominent scientists who have thrown their weight behind the long term agenda to implement measures to stem the population of the planet. This view is gaining ground with increased pressure on governments to act over climate change as the justification." See Green Lies

Ginsburg: I thought Roe was to rid undesirables: "In an astonishing admission, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she was under the impression that legalizing abortion with the 1973 Roe. v. Wade case would eliminate undesirable members of the populace, or as she put it 'populations that we don't want to have too many of.'"

June 2009

The Ethnic Cleansing of the Assyrians: "Assyrians comprised 8% (1.5 million) of the Iraqi population in April of 2003. Since then 50% have fled the country. Of the 750,000 Iraqi refugees in Jordan up to 150,000 are Assyrians.... From 1995 to 2008, 317 Assyrians were killed.... Examples included:

• A 2 month old infant kidnapped, beheaded, roasted and returned to its parents on a bed of rice • 14 year old Ayad Tariq decapitated because he is a "dirty Christian sinner"

• A 14 year old boy crucified in his own village in Mosul

• Fr. Paulos Iskander (Paul Alexander) kidnapped, beheaded and dismembered. 5 priests were kidnapped and released after ransom was paid.

• At least 13 young women were abducted and raped, causing some of them to commit suicide. Female students were targeted in Basra and Mosul for not wearing veils; some had nitric acid squirted on their faces."

March 2009

Judge Sends Pro-life Pastor Walter Hoye to Jail: "'It is absolutely incredible that in America an individual can be sentenced to jail for engaging in peaceful free speech activity on a public sidewalk,' remarked Allison Aranda, Staff Counsel for Life Legal Defense Foundation.... 'Rev. Hoye is being singled out for particularly harsh punishment because he refused to agree not to offer help to women considering abortion. Where is the justice in that?'"  See Things We Couldn't Say
